Lost my FitBit

So After losing my fitbit today I'm fairly annoyed, but I'm going to try to do without for 30 days and just use apps.

AccuPedo is the closest I can find to an always on pedometer,  it' doesn't sync with anything but it works ok.

CardioTrainer is what I've been using for my walks, but thanks to Eric I'm going to replace it with runtastic.

Sleeptime will cover sleep recording.

I'm also going to move to myfitnesspal for keeping everything in one place. It syncs with runtastic, and I'm just going to have to be cognizant to start/stop workouts.

Also, as of today I have already lost 37lbs w00t!

10 Days in Phase 2

So it's been a couple of days.. Figured I'd check in.. Still going strong in the new lifestyle, and I'm glad to report I love it. Not missing grains or dairy for the most part... Yesterday almost made 10 miles according to the fitbit and just came back from a 3 mile walk. Wish MyTracks didn't suck but I conquered Vallejo again and the fitbit says I'm at 31 flights for the walk.

Lunch

Found a new app called Cardio Trainer, which supposedly attaches to the Polar BlueTooth Heart Rate monitor. I'm going to pick one up later. Uphill for the first half or so, but considering I was stopping, texting, window shopping not too bad.

Here are some of the fitbit stats from yesterday and today..

Day 5

Feels like the lunch options are getting worse in the office. Not that I have cravings for any of the options but less and less healthy options keep showing up.

Again there weren't any grilled proteins available, luckily I stashed a few cans of sardines in olive oil at my desk. Works great in a pinch on greens with the avocado I also brought in.

So I conquered Vallejo to it's highest peak including the climb up about 7 flights of stairs after the peak.

Some fitbit stats.

I bought the fitbit on the 18th of December and you can definitely see the boost of energy from the paleo/upgraded coffee

Day 4

Still can't get over the loads of energy from this Paleo/coffee thing, but it works... All day and no crash..

Decided to take the plunge for my first walk today and tackle a steep walk up one of the streets near the office.. Holy Fuck..

Lunch today was awesome... They had taco bar, so I grabbed some yummy slow cooked chicken and onions, mixed greens and the chicken patties from last night with some avocado.

Midday Day 3

Holy Crap, my energy levels are through the roof... Upgraded Coffee definitely does give you tons of energy. I've also now removed bananas from my morning juice..

Again Lunch sucked with options. I found 1/2 a broiled salmon wrap which I unrolled on to a bed of mixed greens. Glad I brought about 3 oz's of Grass fed beef that I cooked last night..  Sea Salt and toss it on a nonstick pan for about 2 1/2 minutes on each side.. At the very end, I add about a 1/2 tsp of coconut oil to each side.. Tastes so good!

No Grilled Protein options at work today..

Meh.. So glad I brought some grilled beef in from last night.. Also found some avocados but.

Bananas are on the avoid list!

According to the Bulletproof Diet fruits high in sugar are on the avoid list..

So, I'll be modifying my shakes accordingly.. I'll keep the pear / 1/2 apple in the morning and 1/2 apple / kiwi in the evening but will replace bananas with Avocado in the morning and Grapefruit in the evening.

Lunch. Day 1

Burger bar in the office provided exactly what I needed. 2 grilled chicken breasts, lettuce leaves and some avocado.

Morning #1 bulletproof exec

It's as gross as it looks.  The nutribullet blends it pretty well but an hour later I feel like my throat was covered in oil.  Thank god for thr coconut oil which provided at least some flavor.  I'm a big black coffee drinker so it's going to take some getting used too.

Kicked off this morning with 2 cups of coffee blended with 2tbsp Kerry gold irish grass fed butter and 1tbsp extra virgin coconut oil.

Followed by a green juice. 1 cup baby spinach, chard, kale, 1 banana, 1/2 apple, 1/8 cupbgolden flax seed.

Starting Fresh Phase 2

Figured I'd kick off the blog while I move on to Phase 2.

T - 30 days

The shakes haven't stopped.. I still drink one for breakfast and one in the evening. At work I manage to find raw greens and grilled proteins and complement it with nuts and homemade hummus I bring with me. So far it's been working great.

Thanks to @beaker @mattjay @davemarcus and other's I've discovered the bulletproofexec and the Paleo Diet which both seem interesting in my pursuit to get back to health. The concept focuses on Burning fat by completely eliminating grains, processed foods and sugars.. Eating like we did back before we started farming and processing our foods.  Lean organic and grass fed meats, coconut oil to replace olive oil mostly.  Plenty of vegetables and of course and limit sugary fruit intake.

So every morning will start with:

500ML of Coffee blended with 1 TBSP Virgin Coconut Oil and 2 TBSP of KerryGold Grassfed butter  blended  (Yuck, I know.. but supposedly it works to increase the amount of ketones your body produces to provide energy and burn fat throughout the day.

a Shake of 1 Cup Organic Baby Spinach, Chard, Kale with 1 banana, 1 Pear, 1/2 an apple and Golden Roasted flax seed

Lunch will try to cook some lean meat to bring to work everyday along with nuts and avocado.

Dinner Grilled lean meat with another shake of Organic Baby Spinach, Kiwifruit, Berries

I'm not going to weigh myself until I'm done with the 30 days
